Can some one help please, which of the 3 sets of numbers inside the cover of the active 10 is the serial number? as i wish to register for the route planner and dont want to input the wrong number. Is it the top one 'the bar code' or the middle one, in BOLD or the botton one that starts ACT10UKO.... Thanks for your help. |

Mr.Hare,
It's the bottom one that starts with ACT10UK*****.
You have to enter the ACT10UK bit as well.

Yes, I'm vista and windows 7 - when I delete a waypoint, the waypoint dot goes away but leaves the orange line.
I also agree that the screen is too small and the lack of functionality to add POI is a big missing. |

Yes the size of the screen is a my only MAJOR gripe really ( one or two minor ones ).I find it seems to work quite well.
Just to add to my previous post regarding the errant waypoints,I am using a PC and XP Pro.
I must admit £80 to pay for a subscription came as a bit of a shock, glad I bought the Active10 when I did.
I wonder how many people will pay it ?

Further to my earlier post, can someone please confirm if, when useing Route Share, I should be able to preview a map of the route before downloading it, or not.
At the moment I can just see an empty box with the zoom arrows etc in it. (I have tried on 2 different computers).
Thanks in advance. |

Yes and no.
If the first time I call up a route I try to download it (i.e. I have logged on before looking at the route - then I can see the route just before I hit the "download".
On the other hand if I have looked at the route and then log in I just get the screen you describe. However as far as I am aware the download still works fine. _________________ LostMike

Thanks for the reply Mike.(At least you are seeing some maps before downloading, I have not seen one yet). Surely this needs looking at by the Satmap people. It seems pointless to have that screen if nobody can see it.
It would be much better if you could view the routes before you go through the bother of downloading it, putting it on your Active 10, then deciding it's not right for you. |

I have been attempting to run Route Planner with Vista. As soon as I start to peg out a route Outlook Express closes down. Anyone else have this problem? |

I use Vista and have been using the route planner for quite some time without issues, do you have any firewall software or other antivirus apps that might be preventing what should be available to you - Mike |

I do have Mcafee installed. Even when disabled Explorer still shuts down as soon as I mark the second peg on a route. I will see if Windows XP does the same thing presently. |

Route Planner works fine with Windows XP and with Macafee installed and operating. Something strange happens with Vista. |
