|
|
I have notification from Road Angel that they will no longer be updating European Camera sites for their RA products after July and was wondering if anyone had heard if this also affects the TT x40 products as they use RA cameras?
Also, if I want to add the PGPS European database to the 940 a) do I need to delete the TT cameras in the device and if so, b) will it cause a problem if at a later date I want to put them back in. The reason being is I am not sure I will want to continue with the live service after the 3 month trial is up, but may want to later on and if I have PGPS cameras database in the TT I am concerned that it may cause a conflict. I remember having TT cameras and PGPS in an old 720 and it looked odd on the screen when they came up together.
Thanks |

You can have both with no problrms. No need to remove the TT cameras just switch them off under
Live Services (Main menu 3 of 3)
TomTom Services
TomTom Safety Cameras
Disable Alerts
Click Enable Alerts if you ever want the TT Cameras back on again. |

For x40 RA only supplied UK data only anyway.

It's best to disable them but you don't need to delete them. Even if you do delete though it will cause no issues. If you want to revert to them at a later date (so long as your LIVE sub is still active) you can easily do so. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren for your sage like reply. I had heard that eventually the x40 would allow European coverage once the agreements had been sorted, but it would appear as that is "merde"
Will disable the TT ones and get the PGPS ones loaded. |

Even if that does transpire, then Euro cameras that TT offer are not supplied by RA, only the UK ones. _________________ Darren Griffin |
