The Missing Link: Tracking + Navigation = Perfect Logistics Solution
Tracking Solutions and World’s Leading GPS Provider Work Together to Ease Transportation Logistics
DORAL, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tracking Solutions Corp. has teamed with Garmin International, Inc. to develop the next generation of logistics solutions, with an innovative system that integrates global positioning systems (GPS) tracking technology with navigation technology.
“This development enables companies to follow the location and movement of objects in real time. Now clients can monitor their fleet and workforce, change routes depending on traffic or weather conditions, and manage delivery times more efficiently,” said Juan Carlos Olano, President/CEO of Tracking Solutions Corp., during the announcement of the partnership today.
“By combining a Garmin Personal Navigation Device (PND) with Tracking Solutions’ GPS Advantage, companies with large fleets can increase their productivity and reduce overall cost,” said Roger Jollis, Garmin’s director of OEM and mobile marketing. “We are pleased that Tracking Solutions Corp. has chosen Garmin as their GPS of choice for customers, and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
This system works through Tracking Solutions’ starship product, GPS Advantage. One of its most attractive features is the possibility of alerting dispatchers when a vehicle moves out of its service area and generating notifications - like short messaging alerts and e-mails. Users can also get routes and driving directions throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
The result is accurate, on-time deliveries; satisfied, productive drivers; reduced fuel consumption and improved customer service, which help curb operation costs and increase return on investment.

there noting hreally new with this as it has already been done with tomtom work alk fleet centre and tomtom being intergrated in to fleet managment such as roadrunner
the one interesting part is the garmin partnership apart from that its all marketing speak giving very litte real information on the applicatios of use it speeks of fleets but fleets of what taxis vans trucks.
is it for general haulage heavy haulage.
the use of the word lofistics for virtually every facet of the transport industry is something that many people have had enough of
the movment of goods from one point to another is transport or haulage this includes the scheduleing if vehicles loads _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. Good bye IOS don't let the door hit you on the way out .

I think this is great!!
I contact them to find out if it was the same old same old, but the interaction between the service Tracking Solutions offer and Garmin's units is very complete... it communicates the central office with the truck driver, and let's the driver communicate back with the office about new jobs pending, optimizes routes and it seems that many more options are on the way.
in my opining is not about having the same functionality as everyone else, but the improtant part is who gives the best service and it's always innovating...
in my opining I think is a good service and it's great to see other companies working together with the big ones to have more options...
I also found info of this company in www.tsomobile.com
