I have been using The Drivesmart for a couple of years however it had a faulty speaker connection. I bought another one off of Ebay....this had trouble acquiring satellites. I took the GPS module from my one and put it in the newer Ebay version. However now neither of them will acquire satellites. Anybody have any technical know how on these and can shed some light as to why. |

When you say 'GPS Module' do you mean the external antenna? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks for the response....No I had actually swopped the Holux boards between the two of them. I had both of them in the car for a couple of hours and neither would acquire. However, sods law, since I have written the original post I have had both of them come to life on the bench so I guess I will just have to see how they perform. |

Hi Again.....I thought I had solved it and they just needed longer to soak to acquire the satellites, the original one that was working fine (before I got to it) will acquire after a long period (approx 1 hour or so) but as soonas you turn it off and on it's back to square one. Is there anybody out there with any technical knowledge of these things ie is there some form of reset. Thanks, |
