|

As usual, I copied the PGPS database into the Map folder, and all the OGG files are in there (TT730T, with V8.302 software and V825.2157 map). When I activate "warn when near", I highlight "Sound Files" and continue. This takes me back to the screen where you type in the distance. Continue, Sound Files still highlighted. Continue, back to distance etc. I can't get any of the OGG file sounds to work. |

Try a soft reset and retry, should resolve that. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Tom I did Yorkshire to London last night with the same software and maps as you on a 720 and the .ogg files were fine. I did set them up agai before i left so i'm ot sure if you need to do the same or follow Darren's reset idea (or both). _________________ Tom Tom GO 720

If you have the ogg files in the folder with the map, you are saying "yes" to "is this the right sound?" even though you hear nothing aren't you?
If you've said "no" at any time to this question, just do a reset and start again saying "yes" when you get to that part. _________________ Gerry

There's always the "method 2" of putting the ogg files into the sounds folder. |

Hi, I don't get that far. When I get the 4 options, and select sound, it doesn't ask me if it is the correct sound, but simply goes back to the screen to set the activation distance. I set this, and get the 4 options, one of which is sound. Select that and get the screen giving the activation distance. (I'm starting to see a pattern here ) |

This could mean that the 2 filenames are not identical, or that the association has been lost by the software.
If the files have been in use before, and worked, then we know the filenames are identical.
A 'pin in the hole' Reset usually fixes the association issue, as the reboot initialises a full read of the SD Card/HDD/Internal Memory (which ever it is using). _________________ Richard
