I think a new thread would suffice for now. In fact the thread I started when it was first announced might suffice? It's here. _________________ Darren Griffin |

One of my bugs has been fixed and one hasn't.
I can again disconnect my device using HOME. since the previous update, I've had to use "My Computer"
After using "Operate my Device", Tim is deselected and Kate has bee selected for the navigation instructions. I normally use Recorded voice Tim with Computer voice Kate selected for the warnings. _________________ TT Go Essential |

The new Beta doesn't happen to allow HD traffic to operate within Home does it? That would be worth having. |

Nope, afraid not.
In fact the SIM card seems to be completely disabled when you "Connect to computer". (At least the "biddly, biddly" interference on my PC speakers stops whenever I connect). |

As I'm sure you know... 'Tyre' and the 'Houghi script' can do this too.
These both produce an Itinerary, so you have to be careful to put enough waypoints in, as the TT will still always calculate *it's own* route between each one. |

The GSM interference shouldn't be needed as it can use the computer's internet connection to talk to the servers. For old traffic this used to work, but now it doesn't. Well, it did once for me, but that was because my account got messed up and wouldn't work on the unit, but would in home. So it *could* work if they wanted it to, perhaps by using the devices SIM details in the details sent to the server. Pity though. |

This is the first unit I've had with any sort of "Traffic" so I didn't know it used to work in Home. I see your point! |

Does Home v2.6 work with a User account with Vista? v2.5 only seems to work correctly when run from an Administrator account, even running as Administrator in a User account brings up an error - Failure Code 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nslproperties.get]. Home is set to report errors to TT.

Works for me. Only had to confirm install as Admin on upgrade. No problems so far but will shout if I do have _________________ Gee-Pee

You need to manually delete the TomTomHome directory left behind in
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\
from the earlier installation. Once done, re-start HOME and it should run okay. |

Found two lots of TomTom Home folders, deleted both and, as you said, it now works OK. So why didn't the installer remove these directories??
Thanks

Whoops! You might guess, it worked OK then did exactly the same as before with the same error. Removed the directory, which had reappeared, but still giving the same error.
