New A10 User

Hi guys.

Just picked up an A10. Awesome piece of kit

When turned on with the screen blanked out the unit lights up the screen, beeps twice, the screen flickers and beeps twice again then all goes blank again. Why does this happen as i cant find anything in the manual?

Hmm, sounds a bit worrying! If you can't switch it on, I don't know how you know it's awesome. It should go through maybe a ten or twenty second booting up phase (where it betrays its Windows Mobile origins) before presenting you with a meaningful screen. If that's not happening, you may have a faulty unit, I'm afraid.

Sorry I could have worded that better. Dohhh!!!!

Anyway i sussed it out. It was the Alert When Screen Off hich was set to 1 minute. Turned it off and all's well Smile
