I was sent this last night from TomTom in a reply whilst trying to solve the Voice issues found here.
Might help some of you, However selecting the voice i installed doesn't seem to play - no sound at all. If you do get Kate working let us know

I've downloaded it using the above link but I ain't gonna install it yet until I see a little feedback in relation to the screen refresh issue and the voice stutter. With my set up at the moment she's running fine and I'm loathe to mess with that. |

It's been discussed previously in this thread, so there might be something in there of interest to you _________________ Andy

I think there was a thread in which Mike Alder suggested it
Solved the Stutter for me, and have had no problems with it so far |

Any help on this appreciated.

Yes we've been looking at this version v8.320 for a while, but it was for intended for a different system (TomTom "Work").
Forgive me if I'm losing the plot, but isn't this the first time TomTom themselves have suggested installing it?
It's still not an official release for the x20 models AFAIK, and several features might not work. I think the Home emulator certainly won't. |

v8.300 has been available via HOME for some time, is this what's downloaded or do you have v8.320? _________________ Andy

Ah.
I seem to have gone from 8.300 to 8.301
Not quite what I thought.
Sorry.
Not sure what difference it's goiung tio make as my problem wiuth the stuttery voice was fixed by a soft reset with power connected.
Given tha bove, I have no idea what improvement will be afforded by a difference of .001 !!

Just noticed today that I'm now being offered 8.301 by Home. Not tried it yet, still running 8.204 and very happy with it _________________ Garmin 3490 LMT

v8.301 was officially released today and is available through TT Home (Discuss HERE to keep things neat?).
The 8.320 that the OP was offered by TT customer services is not an official release for the x20 and x30 models and is not available via Home. |
