Yesterday I missed a turning heading North West in North Watford on the A41 North Western Avenue and needed to turn around at the Hunton Roundabout (A411/A41/M25spur) and go back down the A41 dual carriageway. On approaching the Hunton Roundabout the correct route was displayed on the Navigator but the symbol showed a left turn on the roundabout and the instructions were "turn left on the roundabout 4th exit".
Thinking this was odd I set up a few routes using this roundabout and used the demonstrate mode and for continuing North up the A41 the symbol shows you going right round the roundabout.
Something odd there. |

Mr T,
There are 2 small roundabouts on the edge of a shopping estate in Merseyside where TTN2 tells you to go the wrong way around them but still guides you to the right turn off if you go round them the correct way.
I haven't loaded TTN3 yet so I don't know if this has been fixed in the later version.
( Might try following TomTom's instructions some time, if I'm there in the early hours, then again might not ) |

This happens in both Navigator 2 and Navigator 3 - try a route along teh A421 southbound into M1 Junction 13, then take the last exit on the roundabout to head towards Aspley Guise along what is, from memory, the A507.
The 'icon' like portrayal has a limited number of positions it can show the exit of the roundabout. If you're going nearly 360 degrees you get this odd and, I agree, illogical 'right round the roundabout' symbol. However the instructions and on screen mapping are right at the location I mention - is it the same for your location too?
'Backwards' roundabouts as mentioned by Lost1 are a separate issue - that's a mapping error.

I had the same thing with TTN2 on a roundabout entering Aylesbury from the Oxford direction - it tried to take me round the wrong way.

I'd noticed that Aylesbury one too in Navigator 2. A quick check shows that it's been fixed in Navigator 3.
