You're right! Every single time that I ask them a question, I have to respond to their reply with "Sorry, but I think you didn't understand the question"
Maybe TT Customer Services staff are recruited from the House of Commons |
I think they are recruited from the Tree House of Horror, who ever is in charge is a total Homer! Dho! |

I spoke to TT customer services a couple of weeks ago to sort out a device code/account problem and when I asked about the new maps was told they weren't expecting them until March |

When I connect to HOME, and before logging on, I'm told that Quote: | newer versions of your map are available. Get them for as little as £8.95 per quarter with our new map update service | I paid for the service in November but when I go to "Update my Device", it logs in but no newer map is available and when I go to purchase maps, it says my current map (815.2003) is the latest version. When I look at what's available, if I was about to subscribe to the update service, there is no way to see what version is offered.
So I presume the first message not correct, or have I not looked in the right place for an updated map? or is it a scam to try to get me to subscribe again? _________________ TT Go Essential |

The newer maps are not available yet.
You are being offered the map update service because you are not logged on. As you are not logged on, the TT servers have no idea who you are and therefore cannot know about your subscription to the service.
There is a thread on this that has been running for several days and someothers get this message whilst logged on. _________________ Drivelux |

But when I'm not logged on, presumably HOME can still see what map version I have, but it is telling me that there is a newer version available when there isn't. _________________ TT Go Essential |

I have from time to time received a basic advertisement for the map update service for several weeks, even though I have already subscribed to it. This occurs logged on or not so its obvious that this bit of advertising never checks if you have a subscription or your subscription may not be correctly recorded.
More recently in the top right corner of Home it has told me a new map is available (not true) logged on or not. I contacted TT customer service they agreed I do have a subscription and they told me its a glitch with the servers, its still happening several days later so it suggests that its either a very complex glitch they cant find, or they don't really care. |

I've had to ring TT support for a couple of things:
1. To report on my way to Wembley that TT traffic was reporting a 4 hour delay on the M40 (when there wasn't one) in exactly the same place as TT traffic reported the same 4 hour delay 6 weeks previous (when there ALSO wasn't one)!
Reply? "Please re-install the TT software" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2. To report that despite having XL 2008 with V 8.010 & maps 815, that TT Home was offering 'New maps availible' Version 660 !!!!
Reply? Its an error on the server and will be removed very soon. - 4 months later? Still waiting...
I'm not impressed. |
