Hello all
Im getting well annoyed with speeds bumps of late is there a way of setting up my software to re route me around them?

Other than setting an manual avoid for every section of road so affected no, speed humps are not part of the map data so TT and other packages have no knowledge of them.

If speed humps are causing drivers grief would it be possible for this site to set up a data base of them similar to the camera one?

| There is no "Avoid POI" feature in the TomTom software, this is something a lot of people would welcome if it were added, for HGV drivers it would act as another safety check to avoid low bridges for example - Mike |

It could and would never work. Quite apart from the logistical nightmare of authoring one, very few devices have the ability to 'avoid' a POI. For most systems you wouldn't see or receive a warning of the impending 'sleeping policeman' until it was too late, cue lots of three point turns!
Whilst they are annoying they're not so bad that I'd seek to avoid at all costs. Anyone driving a vehicle that cannot negotiate them without damage needs to get a different car!

but when you are in a roofing truck and you have all your stuff on the back, avoid speed humps is a must! sometimes we have a few ton's of blocks, ladders, asphalt pots, rolls of felt, and bumps are just toooo annoying!
not everyone is in a car all the time! |

Ah I confess that wasn't something I'd considered. I'd thought you might have a car with bodykit on it that was scraping the floor!

I would pay to access a "Speed Bumps" POI ...as if there was one......it would not take long for someone to write the "Avoid POI" app...
My Porsche has precisely 3 inches ground clearance and no, I do not want another car thanks
