Hi,
I have 3 New emails for POI downloads
Question Will the Last add all from others and bring Garmin
up to date, without using others first.
Thanks |

Each new download of the speed camera database is complete, and therefore should just be used to overwrite your current version.
However, I think with Garmin that you will overwrite ALL POIs on the device when you use POILoader. Therefore, if you are using any other custom POI categories, these need to be reloaded each time you update the speed cameras.
Hopefully, someone more familiar with Garmin devices will confirm this. |

The way around this when using POI loader is to select to save the created POI file to "Custom Folder". Select a folder on your PC and then when POI loader generates Poi.gpi rename the file to something more sensible (ie Family.gpi, business.gpi, speedcams.gpi etc). Copy the newly renamed file to your Garmin device under the POI folder. In future you can update each set as required without affecting the others |
