Wazzzzupmate,
Im not 100% but i think you can have more than one but the latest addition to the account becomes the active device.
Do you have the 2031 error?
Have you recently upgraded?
If so did you have a subscription running for the old device?

Yes you can only have on device working per email account. It is possible to add more than one device per account but if you have any subscriptions they will not properly work.
If the email address you want for the account is important to you, you can change the email address on the existing account to something else which then allows you to create a new account using your old preferred email address. _________________ Drivelux |

I have just bought the 940 and have read through all your posts relating to the Live services, I note that most of you with the x40 range who have used your current tomtom account (registered with another device) are having problems with keeping hold of your 3 month trails.
I have kept my 940 with the "annonamous" username, I am able to use my existing username and keep the 3 month trial or should I keep it on annonamous for the next 3 months?
Thanks for any help |

I can't answer the question, but if you want to try logging in with your username and it doeasn't work, you can go back to being "anonymous" by performing a "return to factory settings" via the Preferences menu.. |

After sending in a request for support as like most people my LIVE service was not working once I linked the unit to my account.
Just had a reply from TomTom Support saying that the trail will only work in the factory default mode.
Quote: | the settings in the factory reset are the ones it requires to use your free services. You only need to add your account if you are using paid services. |
Are they pulling my leg?? I cant link my new 940 to my account? because if I do I have to factory reset it everytime I wish to use LIVE. |

No, it just means you don't put your account into the Tomtom itself. |

I called the support number as how are you ment to use the buddies if your not logged in.
The guy I spoke to was not sure and spoke with someone in 2nd line after about a 10 min wait came back with.
"Yes its a problem, they are aware of the issue and are working on it. Give it a try next week and the login issue should be resolved".
So I am waiting till next week.
Im also thinking these x40 models have sims in them so if it gets stolen like my 910 they should be able to find it? |

My 2031 error is now resolved.
After having Tomtom delete my plus speed camera subscription from my account i can now log on with my normal username and the HD traffic works ok.
This all came about by me trying to get a refund for the unused 6 months of my plus subscription. Which they will definately not do.
However they have agreed to transfer the subscription to an account of my choice, which is better t han nothing.
Hope this helps
