My new 540 seems to be doing the things I expect except copying numbers from my mobile to the phonebook via bluetooth. It only accepts the first 33 entries (in alphabetical order). My previous 510 accepted the full list of 100+ entries.
After the 1st attempt I deleted all the entries and tried again - same result, and again after 2 more attempts.
I am giving it sufficient transfer time as the voice activation tells me when the transfer is complete. (The Samsung U900 mobile is listed as being compatible)
Has anybody else experienced this? |

Welcome to the forum, do you still have the 510 and is the phone book on that device upto date?
If it is you can simply copy the phone book file from the 510 to the new toy:
The file is named "contacts.txt" and resides in the "contacts" folder on either device, simply copy this file from one device to the other putting it into the "contacts" folder - Mike |

Thanks, but the phonebook on the 510 is now quite a bit out of date. I`ll have to keep digging round for an answer. |

So pair the 510 again and download the phonebook, then copy it across like Mike says. _________________ Dennis

You can open the phone book file on the PC using notepad or wordpad and add extra contacts to it prior to uploading it to your new toy. Its a shame your phone and the TomTom cannot get this feature to work 100% but phone connectivity has been a bit of a mine field for some time.
I am not even sure if your phone is listed as fully compatible by TomTom, if it is then you might have some reason to complain, if the phone isn't listed by them, then you can only look at work arounds to give you a solution to your problem - Mike |

Obvious now you`ve pointed it out.
Thanks |
