Apologies as I know this will have been asked before but my Bolean searching is really bad.

I have a new 720 which arrived this morning from total pda. I am currently updating the map; but when I have done that, I will want to drag the latest speed camera speedzoned complete cameras and the Vicki voices into the map file.

But I see in the map file there are already the tomtom speed camera files. Should I remove these (so I don't get the same camera flagged up twice). If so, which files?

Depends how far you've got. If you still haven't installed the pgpsw camera database, simply use Win Explorer to delete all the ov2 and associated files (I think TT cameras have .ver and .dct or something alongside the ov2s). Another way is using Home to Delete stuff off my GO. In any event, you don't have to activate them, so some people leave them on there not activated - no problem unless they start to reach the maximum POIs barrier.
I'm certain it's covered in the FAQs (but I'm not sure which one! Embarassed Embarassed )

Thanks Dennis. No, I'm still installing the new map so haven't got to speed cameras yet.

Useful to know they don't do anything unless activated. So I think I will take your advice and leave them on there.

Thanks again for the prompt response.

Nigel

Had a lie-in today Mike? Rough night? I delayed replying as long as I could, thinking you'd post the link, but when you didn't get there inside 20 minutes I knew you were recovering somewhere in a darkened room! Laughing

If you want to leave them on the unit for a while (just to show how bad they are) then the warnings are enabled and disabled in the Plus Services menu, (not the Change Preferences/Manage POI menu like all the other POIs and the PGPSW cameras are).
