I know a lot of people have been knocking Satmap but!.. credit where credit is due. I had a slight problem with the unit locking up when I tried to toggle on the compass screen, phoned Satmap and they asked me to send it back.
I used one of their prepaid return labels and sent it Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday at 1600 got 2 emails informing me it had been repaired and shipped back. I received it back Thursday. How they managed that at this time of year I cannot imagine. Working fine, with a note informing me it had been a corrupt POI.
That sort of service, in my experience is unheard of. I think if they can just get someone to sort out the website, check their spelling mistakes and keep us informed on the news button we would all be very happy. It seems to me that most posts are about lack of information, having said that if you ask them they will readily tell you, just a shame they cant work it out that all they need to do is post some news occasionally on their website.
Merry Xmas!!

I agree. The website is a very poor advertisement for an otherwise very good British product and excelent custiomer service. The downloadable manuals still relate to version 1.16!
The only bit that ever gets updated is the shop.
My experience is thet that website design and maintenance, as well as non-mobile friendly phone numbers, are the responsibilty of "Sales and Marketing" departments. Enough said. |

Mr.Norfolk.
As I posted a while back, try 01372-869078 for SatMap reception and they will put you through to whoever you want.
