My iPAQ 6915 came with TTN5 pre-installed with a free city map download. I have purchased TTN6 on miniSD with western europe maps. The instructions say to de-install TTN5 first. But how?
TomTom Home and the Windows CE program deinstaller only see the map and not base TTN5.
Will I be able to install TTN6 over TTN5 successfully without a TTN5 deinstall? |

No guarantees, as I'm a newbie with PDAs, but I think you'll find that TTN6 will deinstall TTN5. This is from my experience installing TTN7 over TTN6, then installing TTN6 again over TTN7 in order to revert to 6. _________________ Dennis

You could go to go to Start/ Settings_System tab and use the remove software option to get rid of the TTN5 application, although as Dennis has said, installing TTN6 should remove the version 5 software as part of the process - Mike |

Cheers, unfortunately start/settings/system/remove programs only sees the city map installation, I probably didn't make that obvious enough originally. |
