Hi,
I have just downloaded the latest TomTom OV2 Speed Zoned database
it has successfully unzipped to my hard drive, but when I try to copy the files to the sd Card, it stops at Licence_X2_icons, giving the following message:- Cannot copy the file Licence_X2_icons:The directory or file cannot be created.
Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?
This is the first problem I have encountered with the camera database.

I wouldn't bother to copy it to the Device. It's not needed. It's only the EULA text file.
As to why it won't copy, I don't know. You only need to copy the .ov2 and .bmp files to the Device. _________________ Richard

Thanks Richard,
Have tried to copy just the ov2 and bitmaps, but now it stops at gatso_50_X2 with the same message as before, it has copied the files up to that point.

Make fresh download of the database from the site and try using that instead, it could be that the files have become corupt during the download or extraction from the zip file - Mike |

Obvious question... Have you tried downloading again from scratch? |

Or extract the files to your PC then copy the folders to the card after. |

That's the way I always do it. Can't say I have ever had a problem doing it this way.
I have a look in the folder and then delete all the 20mph files as well. Although having said that, I left them there this time, don't have any voice warnings set for them though. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

Thanks for all the responses, have been out today. The card still has 0.9gig still unused, so I will work through the other suggestions.
Thanks, Nikgee _________________ nikgee Medion MDPCC 150; TT6; map ver 6.75: 2gb SD card WinXPsp3. |

Have just started all over again, and all the files have successfully transfered to the SD card. My computer must have got it's 0's and 1's mixed up!
Thanks to everyone.

Hi,
I am getting exactly the same problem as I did before when i have just attempted to download the very latest camera data base.
I download it to a folder on my pc, unzip it, but when I try to copy the files it keeps stopping at, gatso_50_X2 with the same message as before.I have tried copying direct to the sd card using a card reader, and also by active sync to the pocket pc, but both methods cause the same problem.
I have also used my wife's laptop to make a fresh download, but am still getting the same message and problem. Can anyone suggest a workaround, could it be a problem with the sd card? The pocket pc is working fine, including tom-tom at the moment, it is this problem with installing the latest camera updates that I can't get around. Previous to the last two updates, I have never encountered a problem.
Thanks,

I suspect the card is the problem here. Unless you have another card you can test with the best option may be to take a full backup of the cards contents then format it and restore the backup. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Though it doesn't sound like the actual cause of the problem, as far as I know the PPC version doesn't use the X2 icons anyway! You could just try copying the .ov2 and the .bmp with the same name over.
Also, it would help with support if you gave the full filename including extension as they are not necessarily the standard Windows ones. Also TomTom uses the same name with different extenstion for differnet things.
From any folder window, go to the "Tools" menu and choose "Folder options...". On the "View" tab, make sure "Hide extensions for known file types" is not checked. _________________ Gerry

Hi,
Once again I am really pleased at the number of people who give their time in responding to problems. This time I have succeeded by not copying the _X2 files, and the speed camera update was loaded correctly.
Once again, Thanks to all the responses,
