was it not the original users of this site that put there time and effort into giving this site lists of sppedcamera long time ago and now you have to be a paid member to download it?
ive not been back here for a while the reason i did was i heard you were banning people for giving out "your info".
i think it stinks.
no doubt i will be banned too for speaking my mind i think you forget who gave the list to you initially. |

This has been discussed ENDLESSLY, but as you've not been here for a while I'll assume you missed it all (a "search" would find it all).
Suffice to say that EVERYONE who had contributed to the database previously, was offered a free lifetime subscription when it was decided to start charging for it.
If YOU had made a contribution, and have been missed off, then I'm sure that if you can supply the site admin with the username etc. you were using at the time (or confirm that it is the same as you are now), they can still check the records and give you free membership if you are entitled.
I'm afraid you won't get banned just for speaking your mind, but it's worth getting the facts right. |

As this seems to be another rant apparently supporting piracy, it should be moved to the main piracy thread so that the 'discussions' are all in one place. (It seems BTW to have been kicked off at the same time as cyberpunx raised his (apparently quite reasonable) request for information about lifetime member subcriptions.)
It never ceases to amaze me how people suddenly pop out of nowhere blasting off about something that has not concerned them in the past (cyberpunx was a member when a previous VERY similar discussion took place in the subscription policy thread, but he never contributed to that, presumably because he was not a contributor then), and it is a puzzle as to why they become SO agitated without any apparent vested interest.
When a non-subscriber gets so concerned over these issues out of the blue, it does make me wonder if they have a subscriber friend who has passed on the database to them or others, and they are now worried about the consequences. But of course there could be all sorts of other explanations, if one was interested enough to find out. _________________ David

And it's almost always those who have never contributed to the site, the database or any other aspect of our operation who complain loudly! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Could it be that those who do contribute realise the incredible value for money that the PGPSW database is, and also realise thast there is nothing to complain about. Then there are the whingers. |

There's some interesting 'discussion' on one of the sites. Clearly some of those posting there are desperate to rubbish the data making wholly false claims.
One of the posters is someone caught trying to get access to our database by submitting false locations.
The laughable thing is they spend pages and pages deriding the database and then post desperate to get the latest release! I see someone is also posting there on how we stole the data from our users _________________ Darren Griffin |
