v5 is getting rather old in the tooth now so may not be supported on that device. Is the Touch VGA? What is the exact install issue? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Assuming you have TomTom Navigator 5 and not TomTom Mobile 5 it should work, your phone doesn't have a storage card though so transfering of the map and other associated folders to the internal flash memory will have to be performed using Active Sync or the Vista equivalent. Although I have never tried TTN5 on a WM6.1 OS which your phone will be using.
For the application I would try the CAB file install method rather than doing this via the PC installer. - Mike |

This is what I did with TTN6, and I think TTN5 would be the same, assuming of course that you have a legitimate product.
Switch connection mode on the Touch Diamond from Activsync to Disk Drive(settings/connections/ USB to PC)
Connect the Touch Diamond to your PC and put your SD card in card reader attached to PC
Open file explorer, and copy all of the files on the SD card onto the internal storage of the Touch Diamond (remember to make sure all hidden and system files are included)
Close explorer and unplug the USB cable from Touch Diamond
This latter action will automatically start up the installation CAB file you have copied across (it is equivalent to putting SD card into slot for 1st time). It will start to install automatically. You will then be asked for your installation code as usual. _________________ Peter

You may stand a chance with v5.2 but still not sure if the internal receiver will connect.
Since, v5 compatible maps are antiquated now anyway, you may want to consider the alternatives. |

You can download TTN5,21 which was the last version released prior to the introduction of Navigator 6 from This Page - Mike |

Hi
Thanks for your responses.
I had tomtom 5 on my HP RX3715 which loads fine from active sync then add/remove programs.
But when i sync the HTC only google maps appears in the add/remove programs.
I tried copying the folder from the RX3715 and putting them on the HTC but this has drawn a blank as well.
I am assuming it isnt comptaable with windows 6.1 at this point.

So do you have the original TT5 software on either SD card or CD complete with code card? You need to copy from those not from what is on your Ipaq. _________________ Peter
