Praise the Lord!
map v715 W+CE updated at 21:20 - 12.5 MB of corrections.
Still being offered a v6 map!
But the Status indicator is now ONLY telling me newer versions of my map are available, no mention of how many MapShares in use.
How are others getting that info?

Answering my own question:
The Map status indicator was ONLY telling me newer versions of my map are available. Clicking on it gave me the details but no Mapshare corrections info.
I uninstalled it and re-installed it.
Briefly it now told me the number of Mapshares used , but also that my map is up to date. No mention of the subscription service.
I clicked around a bit and now it has reverted to the "newer versions of my map are available" display and no Mapshare info again.

Andy, to get the map update service, you need to go to the add maps section of tomtom home! it should give u a customised quote there and then! thats how i did it! _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE
Andy, the map status indication plugin isn't very well designed, which you have witnessed here. It doesn't provide any MapShare details unless you have the latest map release installed. If you have an older map release, it will ONLY keep telling you there's a newer map available, no mentioning of the number of MapShare map corrections being in use. Let's hope TT releases a new version of the plugin soon that addresses this!

Sorry, that's not what I was after... I just want to be able to see the MapStatus indicator in BOTH it's modes (i.e. Showing how out of date my base map is and showing the number of mapshare corrections in use. As I said, I have seen it do both, I just haven't worked out the trick of getting it into either mode.

All I can say is that while I was fiddling last night, I DID get it to show the Mapshare corrections briefly, just after I re-installed it. I just can't make it do it again!

Andy, do you have maps on both internal and sd card? If so, when you have, say, internal selected in Home, what does the map indicator show? Then, select the external using Home and what does the map indicator say when you select Update again? _________________ David
