My initial thought would be to uninstall Home, log directly into TomTom.com with your account id (email address), dl and reinstall Home. _________________ David |

Delete the TomTom Home application from your PC and try downloading/ installing a new copy from This web page, download using the large green button on the left for the device you have got - Mike |

And did you fully uninstall via Control Panel and then reboot before installing again?
HOME is terribly bug ridden and the cause is almost certainly the application itself not playing nicely on your system. If the above doesn't work then the only thing I can suggest is reverting to an earlier release of HOME until TomTom fix the issue. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Errors after uninstalling AND reinstalling?
If yes, did you go to the link provided to get the firmware? The compressed file on your computer may be corrupt. _________________ David |

I've tried it from the link which didn't work so I deleted it then I connected the TT and let that dload and install it, still with errors. |

Are you using a wireless router/modem when you download? If so, try a direct connection and see if it helps.
You may also want to try to connect your unit using a different usb port, preferably on the back of your computer. _________________ David |

Hello,
As Darren suggested about installing a previous version.
Someone else has had this problem on another forum and they reinstalled V2.2 and the problem disappeared.
This
Stack and bad allocation sometimes mean memory problems.
This could be an issue if your PC is ageing.
Cheers
Carl
P.S.Try here for HOME 2.2 if you feel you need it

It's a shame this was never solved. TTH has the same issue on my Mac and my TomTom Toyota.
(I know it was solved, I meant no solution was found, it just simply started working). This and a page in italian are the only places I've seen this reported. |

I reckon it is to do with the age of the computer you are running home on, or maybe the type of memory installed, the first question I would ask is the Operating System version then is it from PC World or another similar shop. |
