|
|
My Navman S30, on many occasions, guided me into single lane farm tracks.
Is there any way to avoid single lane roads?
I could see an option of "avoid unmade roads" but definitely this does not get rid of single lane paved roads
Is there any hidden XML setting or similar to acheive this? |

My Navman (not the S range) gives me the route options on screen #1 to choose betweeen fastest/shortest time/distance and Motorway preferences of Less often/More often: I have them set for fastest time and more often.
On the next screen I can select to avoid Toll roads, Unsufaced roads and Ferry routes. I have it set to avoid unsurfaced roads and to warn me if any of those options occur on my route.
This set-up has never taken me on to an unsurfaced road or single lanes. Perhaps I live and travel where they do not occur.
Apart from that set-up I do not think you have any other option but to ignore the instructions and let your device re-calculate _________________ Gee-Pee

I think we must live in a different part of the world. Nearly all the roads on which I travel are dual carriagways, motorways etc. Your only option then, is to ignore the GPS and make it reroute _________________ Gee-Pee
