I have a TOMTOM 910. (software version 7.162)
Warning:
Yesterday I downloaded the latest speed camera database (OV2) Files: pgpsw-speed-cams-wwwwwzip & pgpsw-speed-cams-xxxxx.zip. Since loading these onto my Sat Nav I have lost the verbal voice route instructions!
I deleted these new files and replaced them with the ones issued on the 19th July. I now have my verbal voice instructions back! |

Hi johnrbull,
That's strange.
Have you tried downloading the latest database again (preferably to a new location/folder on your PC), re-extracting the .ov2 files from the zip files, and then copying it back to your TomTom overwriting the old database?

Robert,
Yes, I have done what you suggested, and it now works OK! Not sure why.
I'm also a little confused that when downloading new speed camera files, what I have just downloaded for a second time, have different file names from that I downloaded yesterday eg. for the UK-Speed Zoned Complete the file I downloaded yesterday was pgpsw-speed-cams-xxxxx.zip, it's now pgpsw-speed-cams-yyyyy.zip, and the EUR-Speed Zoned Complete was pgpsw-speed-cams-wwwww today it's pgpsw-speed-cams-zzzzz.zip ! |

Excellent news!
Every time that anybody downloads the database a unique version is created.

As I've mentioned above, a unique version is created every time you download a copy of the database. This allows us to security mark the database and if the database ever appears on a pirate website we are able to identify the original person who downloaded it.
