Yes im runnning now as i write this post. IE8 beta 2 doesnt work properly like IE7 does for certain sites, Facebook chat tab doesnt work as an example.
Seems to run the pgpsw site perfectly also. Chrome does load pages a lot quicker. Impressed so far! _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

Blew the dust off Vista to test and very impressed. I look forward to the Apple OS X and Linux version.
Now my default windoze browser for the odd occasions when I have to return to that nasty OS _________________ Darren Griffin |

ie8b2 doesn;t even support the css psuedo-hover class so nearly all css-based menu's won't work... hopefully that'll change for final release as it worked (badly) in beta1...
microsoft need to kill off IE...

at the moment these are the only 'faults' i can find - the last 2 are actually probably designed that way to keep it as a good, working browser
1) doesn't render css3 webkit hacks for curves/shadows at the same time - they work fine on their own but not when used together. not a webkit issue though as safari handles it fine
2) sometimes text in a text box goes a bit funny... ie you cant see what you typed or deleted. clicking elsewhere in the box appears to fix this.
3) no integrated rss feed reader
4) no user add-ons such as ietab for firefox etc
it's now my default browser!

Vista has done a good job of reducing the number of Windows seats out in the booloo! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Just been watching the BBC link and looks interesting. Not dismissing it and will install at the weekend on a different PC, but I cant see anything I don't already have in my firefox. |

It's all about the implementation and speed, much faster and slicker than IE or FF. Whether it's as fast as Safari when the OS X versions materialise remains to be seen though! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Going to be as quick as a wet week end then - without the bugs. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

I haven't fully explored it yet, but the only difference that I noticed is that the Browser opens slightly quicker and the screens displays the 6 pages of recent sites pictorially. Not a 'selling point' to me personally. But I will persevere for a while.

Slickness is a much hyped perception.
Like I say, I will give it a Test Drive and see if it is for me. _________________ Richard

Each to their own I guess, on my Mac, Safari is a lot quicker than FF and rock stable. _________________ Darren Griffin |

when you have over half a dozen tabs open (a regular occurrence here in MaFt-land! often over 20!) you really notice the improved 'instance' handling - particularly when a few of those pages include google maps and thousands of speed camera locations showing on each one!
youtube works fine for me here though? where did you read about this issue?
