|
|
Hi all
I have a TT 720 with the Europe maps installed on the unit (no card ). Question is, If I install the latest GB only maps, will they replace the GB bits of the Europe map already installed? or will I have to install the new map onto a card?
Many thanks. _________________ Regards Mike |

Cheers for that Tony,
To open the thread up a bit. I only have 184mb left in the unit, what can I delete to ensure there is enough room _________________ Regards Mike |

I have very recently installed the latest version of GB & Ireland upon my TT 510 I don't have main memory like you as it uses only an SD card, but the good news is that its 163 Mb as installed, so the new does not overwrite the old but you should just about have enough room for both. I don't know for sure but you could add an SD card to your device and move your old map over to it still leaving a whole lot of room on your internal memory and having access to both maps. I kept both old and new as the old included major roads of western Europe that just might have some sort of use in the future.
The most important thing of all things, is to make sure you have at least one, preferably more backups using Windows not just Home as described elsewhere in this forum then if anything should go wrong you will be able to recover everything back to the way it was. |

Downloaded and installed GB maps with no problems, but TT home now shows my map as being 49 weeks out of date and 32007 mapshare corrections waiting. I tried to update but nothing is shown to download.
Anyone with any ideas _________________ Regards Mike |

Yeah....that message most often is caused by wonky TomTom servers acting up again. It's nothing to do with anything on your part.
Try again later... or tomorrow ......... or, _________________ David |
