Can someone help please, I have installed TTN3 on my Jornada 540 with the map of GB on a cf card. When I try to start by tapping on TTN it tells me that I need to load a map when I tap on OK it goes back to menu. How do I get onto the next stage please, what am I doing wrong. |

Make sure the map folder is in the My Documents folder on the card. When I used the setup wizard to install maps to an SD card in a reader it put them in the root folder of the card - which gave exactly those symptoms... I moved them to My Documents and everything was fine. |

An alternative is to use the TomTom Navigator shortcut in the Start Menu. If you do this, you can get rid of the TomTom Wizard completely and recover the memory it uses (Start Menu, Settings, Remove Programs, tap on TomTom Wizard, press the Remove button).
Be aware, though, that if you move the "TomTom Navigator" shortcut out of the Start Menu, the TomTom Navigator program deletes it. There's two alternatives if this is a problem.
Firstly, you can use another program that starts TomTom Navigator and also provides other features (like GPSAssist 2, or CheckPOInt - if you use CheckPOInt I recommend 2.0.2 if you want to use the Pocket GPS World camera database)
Alternatively, you can use a program that allows you to put program icons on your Today Screen (Battery Pack Pro certainly allows a custom link so it doesn't matter if the shortcut under \Windows\Start Menu has been deleted - Spb's Pocket Plus 2.0 might allow this but I haven't checked).
If you lose the shortcut and want to restore it, you can copy TomTom Navigator.lnk from the \Program Files\Navigator folder to \Windows\Start Menu on your Pocket PC.
