Must admit I've never heard of that error message. When and where do you see it?
Did you make a backup before you tried to update, that you can go back to?
How did you do the update.
Also, before we try to get you running again, how confident are you of connecting the Go to the PC and examining the TomTom with Windows Explorer? (as we will need to start ading/deleting/moving files around manually). |

Can I assume you DIDN'T make a back up before you attempted to update?
If not , make one now, before it gets any worse. Instructions are in the FAQs for TomToms in the "sticky" topics near the top of this forum's index.
Once you have done that, convince yourself you know how to tell the difference between FILES and FOLDERS on your PC.
Then, using Windows Explorer, you need to DELETE the files on the TomTom that are NOT in any folders. They will have names like "system, "ttsystem" and data.chk"
Do not delete any folders or any files that are inside any folder.
Now, if you connect up to "Home", and select "update my Go" it should offer to re-install the operating software. |

Must admit I sometimes find it difficult to understand the "modern" English language used in forums on internet....but it's probably just me...
A bit of grammar and punctuation would make it easier for a poor Swedish fellow like myself... |
