Welcome to the club. Navman say this is unusual and have never heard of the problem before, utter rubbish and not repairable.
Live with it or dump it. An expensive mistake. |

I think it was nearly full, have removed half of them now, and seems a tad better |

There is a 12,000 POI limit so surely it should not crash when it gets to this limit or close to it. If Navman say you can put 12,000 in then that should not be the cause of the crashing, but perhaps it is.
I just wish that Navman would come clean and admit they have a problem, be honest and then fix it. There would be much more respect for any company who says we have a problem and will fix it, rather than one which constantly denies there is a problem when there obviously is. |

If it is within warranty period, you can get a replacement. |

Call the Tech support give them the 3 RMA numbers and they should then replace the device. |

I just cant be arsed sending it back, I will just wait until they get the new software out thats supposed to be coming and buy that, I deleted lots of my POI's and it still crashes all the time and runs painfully slow, before I put the POI's on, it was fine, really quick and never crashed, is it easy to do a full format of the unit back to as I bought it?
Will I have to do the service pack upgrade again? will I have any troubles with licences etc etc? |

You can fprmat the S90 through "My Computer". Right click on the drive and then left click on Format.
Then when you open Navdesk again click Tools , Reinstall software.
When donr close Navdesk and re-open and it will pick up it is an S90 and then click on Tools , recover keys an install the voice files. Minimum is English and Portuguese as linked to bluetooth files
Then close and re-open Navdesk.
Now install the maps
Takes about 30 minutes in total |

If you just want to remove Custom POIs no need for a full reformat -- connect S90 to your PC, go to Navman directory and delete these subdirectories: database, photos, icons. This will get rid of all Custom POIs and all NavPix that you downloaded from the Desktop or assigned to POIs on the unit. NavPix taken with on-board camera should survive. |

If it is just the Custom POI`s you want to delete, then in the custom poi tab in Navdesk click delete on the appropriate poi |

mad: Bought a S90i 7 months ago and until 2 months ago great, then started to regularly reboot at worst possible time doesn't matter if on car lead or battery, bluetooth doesn't work, battery lasts 30 mins if lucky. What a pile of rubbish - thankfully Tesco's took it back and refunded my money and have now gone back to a Garmin unit which is a revelation. Highly recommend dumping the S90i if you have one, should have been good but such a shame. |

What would you say were the advantages of a Garmin in comparison? Like you, I dumped my S90i (not because it was unreliable, though - it was just that the software's interface and features were crap) but I'm still weighing up replacement options.
