As far as I know, there is something about Australian maps being from a different provider or something along those lines.
I'll keep searching and see if I can find a link to add to this thread _________________ Andy

Just checked on TomTom site, doesn't appear that the 930T only the 930 (same beast, no TMC)is available in Australia.
Man, if I was spending nearly £400 on a device, I'd make sure it did what I wanted it to do first

Sorry to hear you've had trouble.
Looking on TT's website and selecting product advisor in Australia and NZ, it only shows three models (TT720, ONE XL Australia and ONE 3rd edition) so I'm assuming these are the only ones compatible with Australian maps.
If you bought it from a retailer, could you not take it back and say "I told so and so that I needed Australian maps, why did he sell me this unit?"
Maybe not so simple?
Edit: Must be quicker in replying _________________ Mike

I see that the USA maps (amongst others) also aren't available for the x30, but are for x20.
Is it likely, therefore, that the Australian (and US) maps haven't been updated to v8 yet and are therefore not available for the x30 range?
This is perhaps a knock on from the maps being provided by somebody else.
It's pretty clear from various threads that the x20 range will run v8.010 Navcore and v7 maps - could it be possible, therefore, to run v7 Australia maps on your 930? _________________ Andy

Thanks for your help, was told point blank by TT "Support" that my TT 930T wont work with Ausie maps.
Cheers anyway

Well of course!! Problem is I didn't know I was going to Australia then otherwise like any sensible guy I would have made sure before blowing £400 |
