I have downloaded the latest speed cams and installed them ok.
I have clicked on show POI's, but I cannot see them when I browse the map. I have tried all 3 of the downloads but with no success. If I add a POI category I can see a POI I put at the end of my road. I have done a search but could not find anything.
I am running a tt520, 8.010 software.
I can not think of what else to try ? Hopefully I am just being thick.
Thanks |

First of all, can you see them listed when you go to 'Change preferences' / 'Show POI on map'? They should all start "pocketgps uk ...".
If they appear in that list, then they have been installed correctly and all you need to do is "enable" them to show on the map by ticking EACH category.
You then need to be zoomed in sufficiently to see the individual cameras. The TomTom cannot attempt to show every entry at every magnification, so as you zoom out it only shows a few.
However, if you DON'T see them listed, that means they didn't get installed correctly.
The two most likely causes are:
1. Too many POI categories added. There is a limit of 169 user-added POI categories, but it sounds like you haven't reached that. The ONLY way to check is to browse your Great Britain map folder with Windows Explorer and count the number of "ov2 files"
2. When you downloaded the data, did you "unzip" the files before you added them to the map folder? For example, if you chose the "speedzoned" version, you should have ended up with at least 62 individual files to copy into the map folder.
3. Are you following the instructions HERE to the letter?
Take it slowly and tick off each step as you do it, then if you have any problems come back and say exactly where it goes wrong. |

Thanks Andy,
Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but I went to watch Mr L. Hamilton tame a couple of prancing horses, along with every other car on the track. I was surprised though, that there wasn't any Gasto's on the pit straight, .
I had followed the instructions to the letter but they still didn't show.
I did a reset with a piece of specialist electrical equipment, the compulsory bent paper clip, and they now show perfectly.
Thanks again |

If you carry on using paperclips, you're going to be sorry!! I offer a special range of affordable (well, not that affordable) hand crafted reset tools.
