A few months back I installed Tripmaster on my 520, I have since found I do not use it and would like to un-install it but can't work out how. Anybody got the answer? _________________ TomTom Go 950 Live.

Thanks Rick didn't think it was that easy, I was trying to find an un-install programme. _________________ TomTom Go 950 Live.

i liked tripmaster as it gave me an accurate daily log in csv file format, though since ver7 navcore it hasn't really performed as well as I had been accustomed, there are other trip loggers available, but the install method that is involved |

TripMaster is working very well on both navcore7 and navcore8 if you install the V2b. _________________ http://www.runarweb.com |

I had it (kind of) running on ver 7 but since updating to v8 I have never been able to access the settings/preferences screens. |

That was the same on V7. It's because TomTom stopped support for the SDK. But you have all the configuration parameters in the config-file and you can edit it by a text editor. _________________ http://www.runarweb.com |

that is true, but it is not as fast updating as it was in earlier versions before nav7, and yes you can alter the config file if you have a pc handy, but in the car if it isnt just right it has wasted a days logging |

TomTom are moving away from these very useful add on programs that are often provided for free or donation which is a shame, but without a working SDK this cottage industry is dead.
If you want to data log trips etc consider a different mobile phone which can offer this sort of capability (PDA style phone) - you can get software to log trips for free, you can get software that will log trips and offer speed camera warnings for under a tenner, and a phone that is capable of doing this costs nothing on contract, or it is found on e-bay (legally) for under £100, it does seem strange having to use a GPS PNA and GPS enabled phone to do what last years TomTom was capable of but I guess that's called "progress" (sic)
If I want to data log a trip on the PDA I tend to use Fransons GPS Gate or the Tchart Speed Sentry application, there are plenty of other applications that do the same thing on a PDA, in the car I use a PC running software I wrote in Labview to do what I want. To be honest for bespoke logging and obscure GPS related activities I would not recommend a TomTom PNA as it is impossible to use it for anything more fancy than simple GPS based navigation - Mike |

If you are running V2.0b10 it is updating as fast as before. At least it does for me on my GO930 running V8 software. _________________ http://www.runarweb.com |
