Just to add my tuppence worth..... I have installed 7.20 map this morning on my One v2 and I am getting the exactly same message re outstandig Mapshare items - 41 weeks etc etc so it seems to be a very common bug. Has there been any constructive TomTom response yet??
Thanks! |

Has anyone told them about it?
There's only one mention in this topic of anyone actually contacting TT about it (BACKHOJO at the top of page 2), but it doesn't sound like even he's got past the "level 1" service bods, to anyone who knows anything technical. |

Does anyone think POI updates are working again?
They haven't been for many months AFAIK. They upload but they aren't in any download.
Two ways to tell... they USED to appear as CAxxxx.ov2 files in your map folder so you could tell by the file date if they were new.
Then they stopped coming and after a couple of months TT tried a new system, where you could SEE a message about them being downloaded as the update progress bar went across in Home.
That only lasted for a few days and then they stopped coming.
That was AGES ago.
It took TomTom ages to admit they were broken and ONLY mapping errors were now being dealt with, and I haven't heard anything to say they've fixed it. |

Since my last post I have spoken to support (evidently Level 1 - not interested on the finer details of the problem)- they were "unaware of an issue". They sent me details of how to remove the existing corrections and to do a factory reset etc..... None of which so far has cured the problem. I will waste more of my time this evening and try it all again! They seem to be dealing with it as being a routine "Mapshare not working" problem, rather than as aspecific consequence of downloading a new map version.
I note that in Home MapShare Preferences it shows that there is 1.0mb of updates available but when I press Done, it shows as No Updates Available. I have responded to the initial response and tried to escalate it.......
If anyone else has any ideas I would be grateful.
Cheers! |

I phoned them but couldn't get the dim tart to understand I was not on about LMG - they must be fixated on complaints about that at the moment. I don't think she even new what mapshare was. she went off to speak to someone and then couldn't find my logon on the system so i hung up! |

Don't you hate it when, at a time like this, somebody posts "Well, mapshares is working fine here"?
So, uh, I won't ............... |

This afternoon (my time) a poster in a US TomTom forum with a one xl stated his mapshares had stopped and he, too, was getting the dumb message. I pointed him to this thread figuring misery loves company. |

Have logged the problem with tomtom and am awaiting first pathetic non-related reply. I hope others affected have done likewise. Out of interest do those of you affected have the MapServerPatch.dat file in your map folder?
