Going on your summer hols soon? Do your maps need updating? TomTom have just announced a "Summer Sale' with up to 30% discount available on maps from their map shop.
For example, a v7.20 Map of Western Europe is reduced from 79.95 Euros to 59.95 Euros. Maps can be downloaded via Tomtom's Map Shop or direct via Tomtom HOME.
The sale does not apply to maps for Navigator 6 and maps of New Zealand and Australia and continues until 30th July 2008. More information can be found over at TomTom's Map Portal here. _________________ Darren Griffin

Actually considering the previous map release schedule we can expect new maps early August. It was early Feb - 7.15, early May - 7.20/8.05. |

Uh Oh ... This means I can expect about eight emails with the special offer for all my present and previously defunct TTs. Then another eight emails reminding me of the offer.
Think I'll just pop off to RTFM on how to set my Message rules to stop anything with % and/or Discount and/or Map - last time they offered me the Western Europe map for my ONE 3rd Edition, which doesn't have the memory or SD card slot!! _________________ Dennis

TomTom are at it again, and PGPSW SHOULD NOT follow what they say!
This topic is called "30% Discount" which is plain wrong!
£79.95 down to £59.95 for the WE v8.05 is £20 off... That's TWENTY percent off, not thirty.
W+CE v7.20 is £74.95 down to £59.95, that' s 20% off as well.
At least this time TT are saying "Upto 30% off", but here we go again! Try to spot the ONE map with anything like 30% off! :angry2: |

I've amended the title, the only place where I did not use the phrase 'up to'. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Time to get the calculator out me thinks, if the original price were £100 and they lower it by £20 that would be 20%....... |

What a pity that in the UK it's exactly the same number but in GBP _________________ David

Quick question. I've the UK and Ireland map on my TT and I'm thinking about this update.
Will I have to delete the old UK Ireland version or will the update just be applied/overwrite the current version?
Really thinking about all the favourites, PGWS cam stuff (OGG files etc) would be nice if I didn't have to reinstall all this stuff |

Its almost cheaper to buy a brand new unit, use the map guarantee and then sell your old unit, you're likely to make a profit and have a new warranty!!!
TomTom One V3 is now available for £95 delivered from Amazon. |

I got a tomtom 920 in January with map v.7.10. the mapping around the area I live is well out of date. The junction of the A13 at Prince Regent Lane
Plaistow has many roads missing even the slip road,so I updated to v7.20 and guess what its the same. this junction was opened about 6 or 7years ago. I had a Bluemedia BM6300 before the tomtom this had Navteq maps dated 3rd quater 2005 and all the details of this junction were on that,it makes me wonder how acurate these maps are for the rest of the country when its out of date for a Major road going into London. |

Navigator users screwed again. Eventually the maps for Navigator 6 will be so far out of date as to be unusable. Guess who's PND I won't be buying. |
