No changes then! If it wasn't for the current map sale I'd say the v8 maps were about to become available for X20s _________________ TT Go Essential |

I thought it was 7.481 it updated to prior to the Navcore 8 installation - I have only posted this incase anyone performs a manual install of the software - Mike |

The update still shows "show lane images" and I think it has now replaced the compass which so many people had missed |

Can anyone confirm that? If so I'll reinstall 7.481 from back up and download 8.010 again. _________________ Anita

The compass was never removed completely. The issue was that it was greatly reduced in size and features. |

I think I posted this earlier in the thread but for the record the old compass has gone and is replaced by the small pointer that always shows North. Even installation of a custom menu containing the correct text for the old compass doesn't work, so don't bother wasting time trying this either - Mike |

As I never used the old style compass so I never knew what size it was |

Home has never offered me ANY update to 7.481, let alone 8.010!
TBH I think HOME is more irritating that haemorrhoids & a dose of the clap at the same time!
Right I've checked with HOME & my 720 is running App 7.221, so I tried removing 7.221 & then getting HOME to do an update, it's installed 7.481, but it still shows as it's running 7.221!
Any ideas other than the use of a sledgehammer, because I getting really P**** off with this thing not doing the updates! |

Are you checking HOME or the unit when you say what version of firmware is on the unit? Tap the satellite bard and the next screen shows what is installed. Home is notorious for showing the WRONG version installed. |

I've checked with both the unit & HOME the both confirm that 7.221 as the application number running. |

It may be silly but have you checked if you have an older version on an sd card It happened to me once and would not show the true version till I unplugged the card

Well, if you had an older version on a card I'd have thought it would be using that as the TT will boot first from the SD slot if there is a card with software present. |
