I just love the out of date maps on TT6 and all the other software out there.
Seriously does anyone know of software on PDA's with more up to date maps than Igo 8. I have been looking for so long. |

Looking through HERE it shows iGO8 maps as 2008.01. Don't know if TT or anyone else has later maps. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

For information - the CoPilot Live Navteq European data has the version number NAVTEQ.EU.07Q1.2.2.2.2
I'm surprised there isn't some sort of lookup for this kind of data. I know it would certainly be a major factor in my purchase decision! |

iGO8 2008.01.x.x.x.x is Q1. 2008
NAVTEQ.EU.07Q1.2.2.2.2 looks like Q1. 2007.
Maybe there could be 'sticky' added, updated weekly, with latest map versions, which would help people to check their proposed purchase before parting with their cash. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

I agree.
In support of Igo 8, I believe you do not have to show buildings etc.
I was looking at Co-Pilot 7 but believe the maps are 2007 at the latest |

I'm in two minds whether to upgrade from 2006+, evidently only £60, but I've found my existiung maps to be OK (so far) and wish I could find out how many roads have changed and if I would benefit from the upgrade. I wouldn't upgrade for the 3D additions.
Having said that, if iGO8 is as good or better than 2007+ then I'd recommend it to anyone. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Having just used the Content Manager on the released iGO8 SD card, I see for the UK;
Relief Map for Europe - 0706
UK 3D cities - 0710
UK Landmarks - 0705
UK POIs - 0801
UK Map - 0802
There was some update activity when I initially started Content manager, but being a numpty, I did not note what was being updated (maps or iGO s/w, or whatever).
Hope that the above helps. iGO8 seems on initial use to be as good if not a little better than iGO2006+. _________________ Was Typhoon MyGuide 7000 XL with AA Navigator then iGO 2006+.
