|
|
Guys and Gals,
I have a proclip in my car and did just have a tilt swivel phone holder on there.
I now want to use a tilt swivel for the TT730 in there too, but in truth wont use the TT that often in the car (its mainly for work in the van).
Which moveclip can I use to swap between 2 devices in 1 car?
I note that the smaller MC seems to attatch using glue/3m tape etc whereas the larger one screws in. Is this right? Does the 3m tape do the job?
Mainly use the phone holder (n95 8GB) and only use the TT on longer journeys.
Thoughts and suggestions please.

Hi Steve
I would imagine you would just need the small moveclip - that's what I use. I'm not sure what size the large one is but it could be more for lcd tvs etc.
The adhesive pads have held up perfectly so no need to screw anything in.
Usually the "device" portion comes with the tilt/swivel attached so I would say to get one of the 2male/1female or 2female/1male combinations and stick them on the appropriate surfaces.
If the van also has a proclip, get two of each bit of the moveclip pair and you can use the phone or TT in either the car or van as you wish. _________________ Gerry

Tomo, I've always used Move Clip #213005 and have never had an issue. More than strong enough for anything I've ever hung off a ProClip. They have 3m tape on their backs and adhere like limpets! _________________ Darren Griffin |

The large move clips also come with double adhesive tape, they are also the same size as the proclips and the swivel unit, I personally have gone for these because they seem a bit more substantial than the small ones, certainly they fit tight and snug with no movement. _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8 |

Thanks, the van has a active holder for the TT730 which is wired to the back of the 12v socket, its just the car that I need the moveclip for.
Thanks also to Darren, small move clip it is then.

I've used Brodit for nearly as long as I've had SatNav (over 5 years now) and I've always used the mini Move Clip #213005. Brodit later on introduced the larger one, but I'd already got a "standard" for swapping holders around in the vehicle and for swapping to different vehicles.
I've never had a problem with Move Clip #213005. In fact because of their size you can position them off-centre from the ProClip on your dashboard if you're worried that the equipment and holder might get too close to the vehicle's switchgear for safe operation.
