On the M54, between the A41 exit and the M6 there are 2 cameras on each side of the motorway (on the bridge) - they dont pop up as warnings on my 910. Also similar cameras just before the Warwick exit on the M40 Southbound.
Any ideas ? |

Dont think so - they are fixed permanantly to the bridges - looks like 2 device a camera and perhaps a sensor ? They've been there for ages so I'm sure if they were speed cameras someone wouldve shouted !
I've driven past many times, but my radaar detector doesnt go off.
Strange ! |

Are you sure they are not TrafficMaster sensors?
I know the M54 does have the sensors for this service on bridges. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi,
Its a fairly long time since I drove that section of rd, but my Valentine 1 Radar/Laser detector used to get triggered by the lasers on the ANPR's on those bridges, I am confident thats what you are reffering to. They also have them on many of the approaches and exits to Birmingham.

I believe they are ANPR, I've travelled that stretch for years and never had an issue. _________________ iPhone 6 - TomTom WE- CamerAlert - Brodit Passive Adjustable mount.

As long as you are legal (tax, MOT and insurance) you still don't have an issue.
Just ignore them, they are not for you but for others. _________________ TomTom Go 60

|
|
Hi,
Has anyone seen the single camera located on a bridge eastbound on the M54, just before you reach the M6. I saw this today and wondered if anyone knows whether it's a speed or tax/insurance camera.
It's located quite high and attached to a pole in the centre of the two lanes.
There were no vans or people around. |

Yup! Now I swear I looked at this thread and checked before I posted that it wasn't the same discussion! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi,
I saw that info for the two camera's, though this one was a single camera mounted quite high up on a pole, located in the midle of the 2 lanes. |

After a closer inspection today the camera is located on a bridge very close to junction 3. There is one camera in each direction and is mounted on a yellow pole. There was a white van parked in the middle of the bridge this afternoon with blue writting on the side something like "you can count on us". |
