What are the latest maps for the i3 I can update to? I have v8 maps at the moment. Tried garmin website but wantts serial number of unit, can this be found on the unit or display anywhere? where is the best (cheapest!), place to get map updates? thanks. |

The latest maps are the 2008 Maps. These are available from Garmin via their website.
The serial number is under the battery compartment door. |

Just to clarify a point the 2008 mapping is effectively v10, after v9 Garmin adopted a different naming convention. _________________ Chas

If you mean other Garmin maps, then as they are the latest maps, I'd say yes.
If you mean other manufacturers (Sony, TomTom etc) it's difficult to say.. |

why would you want to pay £60 for V8 map when you could pay an extra £30 for a brand new tom tom |
