What are the major differnces, Map share, Itinerary planning etc? Home is offering 8 for v3 device running 7.166 but not for v2 device with 7.162.
Is it worth upgrading or no point as no new maps available at the moment, latest being 7.20 maps?
Also, how do I get Add POI back onto v3 device running 7.166? And will it stay if upgraded to 8.0...?
Regards,

If you are being offered Navcore 8 for your TomTom One then it must be either a v6 (europe edition) or v7 (regional edition) - commonly known as the One Third Edition - this stupid numbering systems confuses everyone though to be honest!
In short using Navcore 7 on the One Third Edition you can have full POI Options and Itinerary planning available, if you put Navcore 8 on it you will not be able to do this at all as TomTom have locked out the work arounds we came up with. The only real new feature you get with Navcore 8 on this device are the custom car icons.
I detailed how to put the full menu on the One Third Edition towards the end of This Post, but please bear in mind this only works with the Navcore 7 software - Mike |

Mike,
Thanks once again, so basically all I would be getting is a poxy new cursor! Not worth the hassle.
Will def look at getting Itinerary and Add POI back on v3 device.
In my opinion the v2 device (7.162) is better (second hand from Morgans I think) as it has bluetooth, Itinerary, POI and a memory card slot!
What are the "new" map share options, any idea?
