|

Help !!
purchased a second hand Tomtom one v3 a while back and only now just really starting to use it, have noticed that within the poi list there are around 11 sets off poi`s all having a small square black coloured background with the letters UK PC, uk lettering in orange and underneath the letters pc in white, the categories are devided into aa-br , bs-cv,cw-eh,hx-ls,lu-nn,np-pr,rg-sn,so-ts and tw-ze.
have not got a clue what they all are ??!!
whos first to guess then ??!!! |

Are they postcode files per chance, if so they are not required as the device is more than accurate enough with its own in built files.
Try Browse Map/ Find/ POI then select one of the categories and see if you can spot a local postcode from the points of interest files - Mike |

You've bought one of those ones which a member of MI5 left on the underground by mistake - those are all the next targets for full time surveillance and detention without charge for 28 months.
PS This is a joke. _________________ Dennis

Using POI Edit you could batch convert them to Google Earth .kml format. You would then be able to see what (if any) buildings they may apply to. (secret nuclear bunkers etc) |

You don't need 'em. Copy them off to your PC if you wish or delete. _________________ Darren Griffin |

OK Andy - I'm so old I can be excused for being stupid - tell me that's a wind up.
Or am I just setting the scene for a zillion Secret Nuclear Bunker sign pictures?
EDIT Dammit! I knew about that place back when it WAS secret before anybody else was born - I was at RAF North Weald not a million miles away. _________________ Dennis

North weald is now a "weekend" flyers airfield.including one or two private owned ex air force jets I know this as they fly out over the Blackwater estuary normally straight over my house !
The other use now days for North Weald is the biggest Saturday market in the area,
Never seen a plaque stating Dennis N was stationed here though _________________ Square2024

Not long after they lost 111 Squadron, Hawker Hunters Display team. Before anybody else was born. _________________ Dennis
