Just brought back to Australia my 920.
I have reset the measurements to read Kilometres etc, but I still get the voice instructions in miles and feet, Also the Americanised term ROTARY instead of roundabout, I can live with this one but how can I make the voice read in Kilometres etc.
As I am a newby I will appreciate any help.

| We use kilometers here in Canada, too. That is what the measurement setting is on my 720. I use the US_En computer voice of Susan. She gives measurements in kilometers. |

Er, forgive me stating something obvious, but are you using an AMERICAN voice?
You can choose different voice files for your device.
Some are recorded voices (that is the actual names and terms are pre-recorded) and thus the range or words is limited but hey sound clear.
Others are "Computer Voices" where the words are not pre-recorded, but synthesized, on the device - this means they don't sound quite as good, but that ALL words can be spoken.
And, if you use a pre-recorded voice, for a different country, then the words and wording WILL be based on that country... In whatever units they use, and using whatever terms they do for features, such as roundabouts etc.
You can likely fix your problem, if this is all it is, by switching to an Australian voice file, if the device has one (or downloading one, if not), or perhaps by turning to a Computer Voice file, to MAKE the words and terms you want for the units.
Have a look, and let us know, but I have a feeling this is all it is. |

Thank you very much for your help, Yes you are so right, Talk about stating the ...Bleeding obvious.
Changed it to Tim (English UK) and now I am on home ground..
Believe it or not the term.... Rotary, for Roundabout just threw me.
Thanks again chaps, Just getting set for a round the world trip Starting 24th July for about 4 and half months, wo I will be flogging the 920 to death especially in France and Spain. Thanks again

I wonder if they'll consider doing a West Midlands voice where they refer to all roundabouts as "islands" ...?  |

Come into the middle of Birmingham and they are named "something Circus". 
I did have a play with an American voice but had to think what "one eight of a mile" was. What is wrong with 200 yards.
