I have a TT One v2 with v7.162 firmware. I installed Tripmaster and Reverse itn using TomTom Home and when I tried to start either program from the TomTom menu I got scrambled info on the screen and the device froze, necessitating a hard reset. I have now restored to my previous state using the backup which I made before installing them.
On the webazar site they say that they don't guarantee it on firmware other than v6, but has anyone succeeded with v7?

i think you will find that webbazar instruct you to run it once and then press the top right hand corner of your screen to exit. now it will run correctly if you have the latest version. note you will have to alter the config file i think it is called, again it is in the site instructions to enter your speed alarm set points. i had it running on a 720 navcore 7.481 ok

I had Tripmaster running (in a fashion) on my v7 520. You need to make the modification to your configuration file. This is described here under the heading How can Tripmaster run correctly on Rider 2 (with v6), One XL, GOx10 or GOx20 (with v7) ?

Tripmaster was very sluggish in operation, both when selecting menu options and updating of positions and speeds. I have removed it for now

Ive used Tripmaster on a 920T with 7.481 after following the install instructions. It didnt work at all well (froze the 920T) using a 1 second logging interval, but was ok with the default 5 seconds interval.

One problem was the on-screen keyboard doesn't work (this is documented) so I had to edit the config file directly to change some settings.

Another associated problem was changing the config file directly using a text editor to setup GPX logging and appending to a logfile (the docs say it has to use a new log each time, which makes sense given how the GPX XML works).
This resulted in an invalid GPX file, which could be fixed by hand using a text editor. Using the GUI to change to GPX forces a new logfile for each logging session.

After fixing the logfile by hand, I had a GPX log for two 25 minute journeys and could view it in Google Earth, POI Edit and Google Maps.

In use it is generally slower to respond to screen inputs than the TTG nav application, but with a bit of practice you can get used to this.
Thanks for your replies. It seems as if it is a bit clunky with v7 - I think I'll wait and see if a modified version appears

Some people's spelling punctuation and grammar is... but I think the program is rather clever.

TripMaster works fine on V7 and V8 software. I use it on GO720, GO920, GO930. Have you seen my flash-demo for installing?

i do apologise dear chap, i was not aware that this was an English/grammar/punctuation site.

The program may be rather "rather clever" on a sat nav that it works correctly on but it does not work OK on my Tomtom One XL, as, i cannot adjust if from kph to mph, as I cannot get into the settings, there are also others in the same situation as oneself.

The web page which I quoted above for installing on v7 does not mentioin the additional files required from the beta version.

Armed with this new information I'll try it again.
