I wouldn't bother purchasing one though as it will not have the UK TTS voices on it as reported elsewhere in the forum - Mike |

I see TomTom have the price of £349.99 on their site now, so I assume the discount shops will be selling it for less once they have their stock.
Any ideas when the 930HD is coming out as a bundle? |

It hasn't even been officially announced in the Uk yet so sadly not. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I thought it had been announced in the UK in the web site article of 3rd March: TomTom unveils new High Definition Traffic Receiver where it says "The HD Traffic Receiver will be offered at a recommended retail price of Euro 99.95, including a six month HD Traffic subscription worth Euro 60. It will also be included with the new TomTom GO 730 HD Traffic and the new TomTom GO 930 HD Traffic."
Perhaps that was for other countries? |

Indeed that was for Holland, not sure which other countries have been launched yet but UK isn't one of them sadly. _________________ Darren Griffin |

If the 930T is going to be £350, any ideas what the 730 & 530 models prices might be? |

Amazon themselves are taking advance bookings for the 730T for £280 |

So the 530 should be around £200-ish then perhaps? |

Talk about inflation - the 930T price has jumped £50 in two days on the TomTom web site and it has not even been released yet..... |

Inflation? More like some office junior in tomtom's web department put the wrong price up .
I must admit I was very tempted at £349.99 but now standing at £399.00 I think I will be leaving it. |

A few people seem to be panicking because they've just bought a 520/720/920 and then discovered the X30 is coming out soon.
However I have just purchased a 520 complete with case and 28-day money back guarantee for £200 from ASDA. Let's face it, the X30 range is going to start at more than £200 (the 530 is probably going to be £250 minimum). Since £200 was right at the top end of my budget I don't really regret my purchase.
However in the few days of owning the unit it does seem ALOT more flakey than my previous TomTom ONE. It makes me wonder if these flakey issues will be solved in the X30 unit, or whether the software will be virtually the same for most things.
Certainly the battery does not seem fully up to the job in the 520 and this leads to issues with the speaker. I've also had the voice recognition packup completely after I copied some MP3's to the device. I removed the MP3's and then put them back again, and it suddenly started working again! |
