Looking at this subject, most people moan about not having been the first to report the camera, although they are certain they were.
Why dont you have a separate database available for download, stating the exact date and time you recieved the first e-mail informing you of the location.
There dosent have to be any more information
I know when i've recieved my e-mails informing you of a new camera, they are always date and time stamped.
It might keep the people happy.
So if you reported a camera at 04:30 yesterday, you could do a quick look up and see what date and time it was reported.
And if was reported at 03:00, then you know the milkman beat you to it.

I suspect because it would not be immediately obvious that submissions were for the same camera. In another recent thread (found it), MaFt showed the scattering of submissions around a new camera. It takes some work from him to work out that they are for the same camera and then to decide what the real position is. Also, the latest query is about a mobile camera for which there may only be one submission, so it has to wait for further submissions and/or verification.
I think the only answer is educating people about how the process works. DennisN's list of threads is a good tool for that. |

There dosent have to be any more information | No more than what? Location, type, speed. Whatever you want, we already have one guy busting a gut over keeping up with the business of all the submissions and publishing the downloads. Add another complete set and we need another guy with a gut (Eeeeeek, sorry MaFt, I've met him and he doesn't have a gut - it was metaphorical, honest!). Whatever download "you" use, remember there are a lot of other download formats - 24 altogether unless I can't count (plus another seven separate ones for the Verifiers). I'm surprised MaFt doesn't have a busted gut. Mind you, it all goes to substantiate the fact that he has no part in who gets free membership, it's automatic and he doesn't have time anyway! _________________ Dennis

I must have been a very lucky boy.
I reported a red light camera as having been removed, 1 Submission and I get a lifetime subscription out of it.
**edit**
Can I have my status upgraded please. |

It will, unless you ask Darren to change it for you.
Some people didn't want it ,so you have to specifically request it. |

As Andy has explained, the Lifetime Member rank is Opt-In as some members don't want to display it.
Do I take it that you do want to show the rank? _________________ Darren Griffin |
