Has anyone sent their unit for repair to satnavshop? I have asked for the price of a repair of a cracked touchscreen and been quoted £65 which I think might be a better option than TomTom themselves.
However I have tried to ask further questions regarding best way of sending the unit and what happens if it is not the screen that's the problem but all I get back is a standard, almost automatic reply detailing cost again as if the email hasn't been read. I have tried phoning but it was an answering machine.
Just a little concerned about sending it now. Has anyone used them and how did you find the service? How did you package the unit? |

We know the owners well and they have always had very good feedback. It may be that they are on hols at the moment as they normally answer email/phone calls. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The initial email was answered with basic details of cost. Further emails asking for further information didn't really answer my question or went unanswered.
I shall try phoning again - is during the day best or evening? |

H, This is Richard from satnav-shop.
Very sorry, I have had a few probs with my computer and had to have a new hard drive so I lost all the info on who had already mailed me. If you can contact me from Thursday onwards (I am out all day Wednesday) on 01142 433176 I will sort out all your questions.
For the record if we carry out any repair and it does not work there is no charge,
Cheers
Richard |

Thanks for that.
I phoned Richard on Thursday and he answered all my questions. Sent the unit down yesterday and it was delivered this morning. Should get it back on Tuesday. |
