And I thought it was for old people like Denis and me on our mobility trolleys, warning us of the new speed cam
PS it looked more like something that was originaly designed for pedestrians. You know, something that we used to call a pavement in the old days. However I suppose I must buck up and realise that what used to be accepted as 'rules of the road' no longer apply to cyclists, especially if your first name is Dave |

You mean I've got to go back and take MORE pictures? This time of the pavement and the lamp-posts! |

...and the kerb stones, and road markings
Write "I must photograph every single little teeny detail" 100 times.
If you do go back, though, perhaps you could also try taking a photo from directly behind the camera so that we can see a camera's eye view - rather than speculating about what might be in the way of the camera
...and then, after you've been attacked by some angry motorist who thinks you're taking photos because you work for 'them', we'll visit you in hospital and bring you grapes _________________ Andy

The last pic but one is pretty much "directly behind it", but it was a bit busy to actually stand in the road....
Maybe I'll go back in a week or two and see if anything has appeared on the other two posts. |

That sounds like a good idea - which is why you're a verifier and I'm a mere member _________________ Andy

Sorry, I don't do explaining to wives - I have enough difficulty communicating with my own...

Good pics Andy_P2002, ignore the others with their snide remarks they were jealous that you arrived first and so quickly.
Hope nobody gets caught in the two weeks before you return, certainly looks like it could be a new version of camera though with all those 'add ons'. _________________ TomTom Go 60

That's spitting distance from where I used to live and fairly close to where I work.
If I get chance, it might be worth a trip to see if I can get some photos to match those taken by Andy_P2002 for the Kingston one _________________ Andy

how bizarre...!! maybe they get a lot of runners? |
I'm sure you're kidding but in case you're not, it's a cycle path! And the 'SLOW' warning is because the path crosses a road entrance. |
So are they going to start catching cyclists too? The funny thing is that in Greece during the 50's there was a bizzare law (not sure how well it applied)that required the bicycles to have number plates too and i think there is still a forgotten law that says that cyclists should have a bicycle driving license! (Not even the police know such thing exists!)
Could they eventually ask the bicycles to have number plates in UK too?
The first camera looks like a high tech "bird's nest" while all the others they simply look like the work of the devil! |

Read London Camera Partnership. This is a Redflex camera.
See www.redflex.com although this one looks slightly different to those on their website |

The LSCP site doesn't even have this cams location on their map. Can't see any reference to RedFlex either? |
