Hi all
Updated my TT720 thru Home to v7.481 recently.
Used it for the first time yesterday since the update, only to discover it's now suffering from stage fright.
I don't get any vocal guidance at all, nor POI alerts.
Voice is enabled in Settings, but when I test a voice, I get nothing.
I do recall when I updated the TT, after the update I got a message in Home along the lines of 'you've installed new software, please restart your device'. So I did. Then when it reconnected to Home I got a message saying 'you've installed new software, please restart your device'. So I did. Then when I reconnected I got a message saying 'you've installed ......'. You get the picture. I gave up.
Thanks in advance for any help. |

Paper Clip reset followed imediately by Change Preferences/ Restore Factory Defaults, now reset your Home location and POI warnings and it should be OK - Mike |

Hi, thanks for the swift reply.
Forgot to add - maps are on a SD (using the W&C Europe), so not the maps on the TT's memory. Will a reset still be the best option?
Cheers

It won't matter where the maps are, just reset and restore to factory, then set it up again - Mike |

This has happened to me a few times, and simply turning the unit off, removing the SD card and putting the card in again and turning back on seem to bring the voice back. |

I think that does basically the same thing as a paperclip reset. |
