I go to \ Tom Tom Services \ Tom Tom Safety Cameras \ Change Warning Preferences \
All the different types have a little speaker icon next to them which suggests they are enabled. It worked find until I added the UNIT update yesterday. Now the camers flash up but there is no sound.

Hi
Did the soft reset but sadly that didnt work....
I added the PocketGPSWorld POI last week as well, and im not sure if that had an impact. Very confusing as it seems as tho it should work, almost like the sound file is missing.
Perhaps i should do a backup |

OK FIXED!!!!
It seems the update changed most of my settings. I remember after the update, I had to reconfigure my mobile for bluetooth, and also the SAFETY settings had all been cleared. VERY ODD.
I went to Cameras and it asked me if i wanted to delete, after i said no, it took me thru a config screen where i could select the sound effect. Just did a demo and it works ! hurah.
I dont know if its just me, but if the TT UPDATE resets all the settings, you might get some more people with this problem.
Anyway, Thanks for your help. Appreciate the super fast response. I will be registering soon for the speed cameras.
Thanks |

You can expect it to lose your settings at random times in the future too.
It's a long-standing bug that affects many (but not all ) people.
If you keep a copy of the "MapSettings.cfg" file (from in your map folder) you can put things back as they were by just pasting it back again..
Oh yeah... YES you should make a backup (using Windows Explorer NOT TT Home) |

Andy,
Recently updated my GO720 with the latest offering from TT Home (7.481 - I think). I'd previously installed all of the GSPW cameras and noticed that after the Navcore update, all the POI alarms had been removed. I've re-enabled them all again (bit of a pain !!) and it seems to work fine again now.
Does this normally happen with a core update or have I been unlucky (or........is it just another bug in the latest core prog )

I lost my ToyTown camera warnings yesterday when I connected to Home. All my own voice recordings too. However, TT only have six camera types, so re-allocating them took seconds (it still had my recordings available) - is this an advantage with TT cameras? Don't answer - Rhetorical sarcasm! _________________ Dennis

Dunno, for me it just loses them at odd random times. I've never got a handle on what triggers it. It definitely loses them more often if I connect to the PC an/or run Home, but it has done it while I've been on holiday and nowhere near a PC. |

Your not alone in randomly losing speed camera warning sounds, I lost mine twice over the space of 3 days, but then it's never happened since... |
