The 8310 has a GPS receiver built-in?

So you're after GPS Software, not a GPS? What do you want to do? Road navigation, sport/fitness, geocaching?

Ah ok, sorry, I'm being a dumbass! I think it's safe to assume that if it supports a recent Blackberry model such as the Pearl then your Curve should be fine.

I have an 800 and it works fine with Go x20's (520.720.920) and the 8800 isn't on their compatibility list.

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I would be happy to explain that. Because both devices are bluetooth units that provide a bluetooth signal they may periodically connect but some the phone features not work through the Garmin. Most other time it will not pair up. I understand how this can be a bit confusing. I can assure that it is good news that it paired up this time, however, it will not be constant in pairing. The fact that both have bluetooth gives the ability there to still pair up periodically. Unfortunately, with the overall bluetooth design being a little different between the two then sometimes they will not work together. I appreciate your feedback and hope that I was able to adequately answer your question. Thank you and have a great day.

Crikey, did they use Babelfish for the translation there? I was able to successfully pair an 8300 with my 720 at the weekend. It's not an 8301 as I had though though.

That it works? I didn't test hands-free but data worked fine on the 8300 as it does with my 8800.
